Welcome to the Confidence in Christ podcast. I’m Kala and I’m here to offer you the opportunity to grow in your confidence of the Lord. Through interviews with friends, simple and practical scripture application to your life and some good old fashion tough love at times, you will be more equipped to have an intimate relationship with Jesus Christ after hanging out here with us. I’m a woman just like you, who loves the Lord with all my heart and is doing my best to follow his will for my life. Peace in the Waiting, When You Love People Who Don't Love God with June Chapman
Today's episode is with my new friend June Chapman. She is the real deal folks! She is authentic and shares with us how to have peace in the waiting, who doesn't need some help with that? We've all experience waiting periods in our lives and walking through them without peace is miserable! We talk all about it today!
June's greatest hope is that she might come alongside you in your journey of waiting and help redirect focus to brazen trust, broken surrender, and bold worship before Jesus. She hopes her writing will point you to the truth of John 1:5 and to the glory of God. His light really does shine in the darkness. When life is hard, and things don’t make sense, she hopes her words direct you to a God who meets you in sorrow, confusion, and doubt and says He is with you. She hopes together we can run our race well – exalting the name of God, doing His will in the world, and living on mission to spread the good news of the gospel far and wide.

- Hopelessness isn't fixed over night, it's a process
- Join God in the waiting, get your focus off of yourself and onto Jesus
- Learn the habits of how lament and worship go hand in hand
- Prayer is a way we can experience peace in the waiting
- If you don’t know what to pray, pray scripture
- We need to accept that we are only intercessors in prayer, God does all the work!
- Take your pain and lament to God, not to the world because it will consume you
- There is a vast expanse between waiting and waiting well
- Focus less on what you don’t know and more on who you know (God)
- Take your thoughts captive and fill your mind with scripture
